Add attachments to accounts and transactions.

Introduction

Where can I add attachments?

Use the Document Manager to attach documents to both accounts and transactions from the following listings:

  • Sales: Customers, Quotes, Orders, Item Invoices, Batch Invoices
  • Purchases: Suppliers, Orders, AP Inbox, Item Invoices, Batch Invoices, Bulk Payments
  • Items: Items
  • Banks: Bank List
  • General Ledger: General Ledger Accounts, GL Journal Manager, GL Cost Accruals, Transaction Browser, VAT Return List
  • Employee Expenses: Expense Claims, Mileage Bands
  • Fixed Assets: Fixed Assets
  • Approval Workflow: Workflows

Document Size and Format

The maximum document size is 10MB.

Accepted formats include:

  • PNG
  • JPG
  • TXT
  • DOCS
  • PPTX
  • MPP
 

Attachment Types

Examples of attachments include:

  • Bank statements
  • Emails
  • Handwritten expenses claim forms
  • Letters
  • Original Invoices
  • Photos
  • Receipts
  • Timesheets
  • Voice mails

Attaching Documents

  1. To open the Document Manager, click on the attach icon for the relevant record. 
    Alternatively, open the record and click Attach Document.
  2. Go to Click to upload and either select the file or drag and drop it from your document manager.

    The files will appear automatically in the Remote Documents folder:

Adding Notes to Documents

To add comments, select the relevant document and add comments, as necessary.

 
 

Manage Attachments

Managing Attachments

  1. Open the record with the attached document. Alternatively, click on the attachment icon in the listing grid. If any documents are attached, the icon will appear with a document.
  2. The number of attached documents will appear next to the Attach Documents icon. Click to view the documents in the Document Manager.
  3. Right-click on any of the documents to open/download, upload, refresh, delete, or rename them.
