Logging on to the system for the first time, browser settings and compatibility

Browser compatibility

For performance reasons we highly recommend that you use the latest version of Microsoft Edge to operate the system. 

Most screens will work on Google Chrome, but you will need to use Microsoft Edge for the few screens that are still not browser independent (Stock Adjustments, Customer and Supplier Debit/Credit Journals). The system will notify you if any screen is not compatible with your browser. 


If you use Chrome, you do need to make sure that you allow pop-ups and redirects from AccountsIQ. For full details on how to configure this, go to the FAQ section below.

 Safari is not supported.

Setting up your account

When you sign up for AccountsIQ you will receive an email containing your login details and a password setup link. 

Follow the instructions in the email to create a new password by clicking on the Login and Change your password link.  

Once the password is created you will be redirected to the login page where you can log in to the system by entering your credentials: Company ID, User ID, and Password. Please bookmark the login page for easy access in the future.

What browser settings do I need for Chrome?

In Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Content > Pop-ups and redirects, add https://hostacct.com to the allowed list.

Troubleshooting

Setting up your account

If you are having difficulty setting up your account, try the following:

  1. Please contact your local admin user (the person who set up your account) and ask them to send a new link. Your password link expires after 48 hours or when clicked twice.
  2. If the new password link in the email does not work, try copying and pasting it directly into a Chrome browser.

 Browsing in Chrome

If you are having issues with the Chrome browser, try clearing your cache.

  1. Open Chrome. 
  2. At the top right, click More (three horizontal dots).
  3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time
  5. Next to Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files, check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data.
